(Citrus Reticulata)
Mandarin oil is extracted in a cold process from the peel of Citrus reticulata (also known as Citrus nobilis, madurensis, unshiu, deliciosa) of the Rutaceae family. A native to southern China and the Far East, it is now grown in warm regions.
It adds a delightful citrusy freshness when combined with other essential oils, especially sweet orange. This tangy and zesty essential oil has some great properties to help relieve stress and is mostly used to increase circulation to the skin, reducing fluid retention and to help prevent stretch marks. It has anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties and is used as a fragrance.
