(Sabdariffa)
Hibiscus oil is extracted from the seeds of the plant. Hibiscus sabdariffa is an annual herb and is thought to be native to India, Indonesia, Malaysia and West Africa. Sabdariffa is also known as roselle, karkade, jelly okra, Java jute, Jamaican sorrel and Florida cranberry.
It is said to be both anti-inflammatory and analgesic, and can decrease roughness of the skin, dryness and fine lines. Hibiscus extract has toning and firming actions on skin and body. It inhibits the breakdown of elastin, is a mild exfoliator and has anti-oxidant properties.
