Pai was founded by Sarah Brown, and the Maori influence and the use of natural ingredients in the products originate from her mother’s New Zealand roots. Many of the ingredients used in Pai have been used by Maoris, and other indigenous groups, to heal and protect the skin for centuries.
Following the flair up of her own skin allergies, Sarah quit her job, completed a series of courses in natural skincare and got to work researching and developing a plant-based, chemical-free cosmetics range. The result is Pai.
Pai is an ethical as well as organic company and wherever possible uses stationary and packaging made from recycled materials. Pai is also the first ever cosmetics company to be SEE accredited. The SEE stamp is a new kitemark recognising a company's Social, Ethical and Environmental credentials.
