Ditch the detox diet

Posted: 02 Jan 2012 in Blog Nurture your skin blog

So we’ve all pigged out a bit over the festive period and may have eaten a little more than our fair share of the mince pies, but now that January has arrived far quicker than we would have liked, its time to start the new year. It’s around about now that I like to make a list of things I’d like to try this year (my version of the New Year’s resolution). For example my 2012 list includes adventures such as taking a hack through Richmond Park and winning a latin dancing competition. Now some of the items on my To Do list might be slightly more achievable than others, but its great to get me thinking about all the wonderful things I haven’t tried yet so that I can really make the most of my spare time this year.

For other’s their New Year’s resolution might be more day-to-day based, for example reducing the amount of energy they use and in turn their energy bills, so they have more cash to spend with their family. If you haven’t made your New Year’s resolution yet and also want to find a new way of detoxing that doesn’t involve starving yourself or spending a fortune at the local beauty salon, how about swapping one or two of your regular skin care products for organic ones? Not only will your skin love you for it (particularly if you have sensitive skin) but looking out for Soil Association certification also ensures the protection of the environment during the production process, creating a healthier and happier new year for all. Find out more about what Soil Association certification on skin care products means in our earlier blog post What You Won't Find In Our Products.
