Saffron Organic was created to have a positive effect on the environment and society. Our core aims are:
• To reduce the negative environmental impacts of skincare.
• To encourage the use of Soil Association organic certification as a basic standard for all organic skincare products.
• To provide an effective way for our customers to reduce their environmental impact and obtain the best quality products for their skin.

We improve society by:
• Looking after our staff well.

• Ensuring the health and safety of our customers, community and partners.
• Encouraging our employees to do regeneration work in our local community.
• During 2011 10% of our profits are going to Help for Heroes.
2. Environmental
Saffron Organic reduces negative environmental impacts by supplying:
• Products with packaging that can be recycled.
• Products with ingredients sourced and processed in a sustainable manner.
• Products that have the highest possible organic content.
Saffron Organic reduces internal environmental impacts by:
• Reducing our use of materials, reusing as much as possible and recycling our waste.
• Seeking out alternative materials and processes that are kind to the environment.
• Using recycled stationery/ office products.
• Using local suppliers where possible.
3. Economic
We aim to make a robust, profitable and growing business in order to:
• Pay employees fairly.
• Produce returns for investors.
• Be more effective in our environmental and social bottom lines.

Scope
The sustainability policy reflects Saffron Organic’s aspirations to enhance our own business practices as well as those of broader society. Saffron Organic applies this policy in all business operations and is working with suppliers to adopt sustainable practices throughout the whole lifecycle of the organic skincare product.
Saffron Organic aims to develop partnerships with a range of stakeholders to encourage the uptake of Soil Association certified organic skin care products and a sustainable approach to business.
Review Process
Saffron Organic is committed to a process of ongoing review and continual improvement of sustainability. This policy is reviewed annually in order to make continual improvements in all three bottom lines.
