FAQs
Are all your products Soil Association certified organic?
Yes, we ensure that every single product we sell is certified organic by the Soil Association. This means that we can guarantee that all of our products are at least 70% organic and none of them contain nasty chemicals.
Are your organic skincare products certified by anyone else?
Where our products have been certified by the Vegetarian Society, the Vegan Society or any other certification body, we clearly state this with the use of their symbol on each product page.
What is not in your products?
We have a list of all the nasty ingredients that you won't find in our products. You can use this list to check any conventional products you may have to see if they contain these chemicals.
Are your products tested on animals?
No. We are strong on ethics and do not stock any organic skincare products that have been tested on animals.
Are your organic skincare products suitable for vegans?
Yes, we are glad to say that we do offer a range of products that are suitable for vegans. We have marked these products with the phrase 'Suitable for Vegans'.
Do you have any organic skincare products for men?
Yes, we have a section with products suitable for men, however many of our products can be used by both men and women. In particular our Balm Balm Fragrance Free range is particularly popular with men.
Do your products have a 'use by' date?
No, but they do have a best before date. The best before date indicates when the product is at its best, but it is perfectly safe to use beyond this data. We usually recommend that once opened, a product should be used within 6 months.
. Because chemical preservatives are not used in the products, the shelf-life is short than for standard skincare products. The shelf-life can be found on the packaging and varies between products, ranging from 6 months to over a year. Those that are oil-based such as Balm Balm products, often have the longest shelf-life as bacteria cannot grow in oil. We only hold small quanities of stock to meet demand, so that they are as fresh as possible when they reach you.
How should I look after the products?
Our organic skincare products should be kept at room temperature, out of direct sunlight and below 30 degrees centigrade, although refrigeration is not necessary. We advise that you replace caps and lids after use to keep them as fresh as possible.
